介绍
从英国Trancecore场景中派生而来，其创作大量汲取了Trance（尤其是 Hard Trance）的元素。Freeform相较于Happy Hardcore更侧重器乐编排，采用纯粹的4/4拍节奏模式，配以150-200BPM的高速节奏，融合Trance曲式结构，整体呈现更强烈的合成器制作质感。Freeform通常带有标志性Acid音色(Acid Bassline)，底鼓低频突出，这些特点来自Acidcore与Tekno对其声音的影响。Freeform的代表厂牌是Kevin Energy开创的Nu Energy Collective，如今J-Freeform成为Freeform Hardcore最具活力的一个子场景。另外，随着Neo-Y2K场景的兴盛，Freeform逐渐得到复兴，并常常以所谓“Hypertrance”“NEO-Trance”之类的Neo-Y2K场景派生标签形式出现。
